Daddy/Daughter Night

With my mom still in Dallas tending to my grandparents and my husband away for a church conference, my dad and I have decided to have a daddy/daughter date night out. I am so excited! It is rare that I have good, quality alone time with my dad, and I savor every minute. Whenever we are out, we always make jokes that people are going to think he robbed the cradle and I am his young wife. Gross and funny at the same time. Sad though, that in today's society a girl can't hold on to her dad's arm without people staring. Oh well, I don't care! My dad and I are innocent snugglers, and proud of it! We are going to Babin's to have some delicious seafood and relax.

I'm looking forward to relaxing...last week in Dallas was good but exhausting and devastating. My Pampi is not doing much better, and it broke my heart to see him so ill, and my Granny alone. Ugh. The last two days my stomach has been sick and feeling funny, so I am ready to recover from that (and yes, for some reason seafood does sound good, I know that's wierd). I intended to leave for Dallas again yesterday, but my stomach woes prevented me from traveling. The bad thing is I will miss seeing my Pamps and helping my mom...the good thing is I get a date with my daddy!

Laura...I TOTALLY know what you mean! I love going places just my dad and me, and I always hang on to his arm or put my arm around his waist. One time, when I was in high school, I rode in the truck with him and the passenger seat was full of junk...can't remember exactly what at the moment...but there was no sitting there. So, I thought nothing of it at the time and sat in the middle. Someone saw me and thought my dad had a girlfriend. Of course he explained the situation, and we're a little more aware of things like that... regardless, I will never stop loving on him! This makes me want a Daddy date night, too! And, it makes me even more excited about maybe seeing that daddy/daughter relationship between Richard and his daughter someday. It is a sweet bond, that of a father and his little girl.

I will put your Pampi and Granny on my prayer list...AND, stomach woes? Still craving seafood? I'm not jumping to conclusions, but...picture me smiling...
