Mac Is Here!

We are delighted to announce that our precious Mac has arrived.

Born: Wed, February 27, 2008
1:15 p.m.
5 lbs., 15"

Yes, after much saving and anticipation, my precious husband bought his long-awaited Macbook Pro this past week. Adam saved every bit he could of gift money from the last two years, and even sold some of his sound equipment to pay for the computer in full. I teared up as we left the Mac store, just out of thankfulness for his patience and willingness to save for it. Really, with our budget, he had no choice, but I am so thankful he did! Why a Mac? Well, besides the fact that they are incredible computers (yes, I have finally crossed over to the other side, it took me a while), Adam wanted it because it is ideal (and necessary) for quality recording of the music he writes. I am so excited to see and hear what he creates!

From one Macbook lover to another...CONGRATULATIONS! I agree, with Garageband and the iSuite, Adam will have TONS of time to play and do great stuff with his music. I use it in my classroom quite a bit since each of my students has their own. We have podcasted and used Garageband...so much fun! I'm very impressed with his budgeting, too!

Lindsay,
Yes, Adam is very kind to let me daily hold Mac in my lap and even play with him. :) Mac and I are getting to know each other, and forming a bond even as I type this sentence. :)

Kelly,
Jennifer and I are in choir together at church. We have become close friends over the last 3 years and I stood with her in her wedding 2 months ago. She is an amazing woman, and I freaked out when she saw your pic on my blog comments and said she knew you! Small world...I love it!

The funny thing is that I have no doubt that you actually weighed the computer. Am I right? Chris will be so happy for Adam when he hears.

For a second there, I thought you had actually had a baby and I didn't know about it. Just found your blog today via the Klein Alumni site. Congrats to Adam on the MacBook. We share a birthday ;-)
