Friday night Adam and I went out on the town to celebrate a few things, one of them being Valentine's Day. Since V-Day was our first date 7 years ago, we love to make a big deal out of it...but this past V-Day, we were in Dallas taking care of my Pampi and helping out while my mom was there. We did have some time to ourselves at Chipotle that night, but decided to still have a special celebration later on.
We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Mark's. It is inside an old church building sanctuary...picture beautiful stained glass and classic arched ceilings, simply gorgeous. The website shows it better than I could ever describe it! The chef, Mark, prides himself in an incredible seasonal menu, which being a foodie, I really appreciate. We dined on foods such as baby asparagus flown in from France to an appetizer of 5 different types of crab meat from around the country. Delish! We also went all out on dessert...some of you know that Adam and I have been on a sugar-free diet for the past two months. Well, we cheated Friday night and BOTH got dessert. If you know us, you know that we pretty much share everything when we are out so as to 1. save money and 2. not eat too much. Well, we ate way to much, but it was totally worth it. I also found a dress on sale from Anthropologie that I was so stinkin' excited to have for the dinner. It was a great deal, and I LOVE great deals!
Ah, I love special dates with my man! Happy Valentine's Day, honey!
